Determinism in the Social Sciences

I urge anyone at all interested in quantitative methods to read page 9, foot note 3 of Gary King’s Unifying Political Methodology. The lessons: 1) social scientists should study probability theory and 2) be wary of social scientists who elevate “the model” to the realm of Platonic truth.
